“Can you do Thursday?” should not need retyping into a diary.
Owners ask from the app they already have your reports in. You get a notification and three buttons, and whatever you press is what the diary says. Nothing has to be remembered between the message and the calendar.
- Requests arrive as requests, not as messages to action later
- Accept, decline, or propose a different time
- Cancellations from either side, with the other side told
- Late cancellations charge your fee, straight onto the next invoice

The gap between “yes, fine” and the diary is where bookings get lost.
A client asks in a message. You are mid-round, you reply “yes, fine”, and you intend to put it in later. Sometimes later happens. The bookings that go missing are not the ones you forgot to agree to — they are the ones you agreed to and never wrote down, and the client has your “yes” in writing.
Agreed in one place, recorded in another
With you as the transfer mechanism, on foot, in the rain.
And no shared record
Two people with different recollections of what was agreed for Thursday.
Cancellations even worse
A late cancellation with no record is a fee that never gets charged and a slot never filled.

One notification, three buttons.
- The client, the pet, the service and the time they want
- Accept — it becomes a booking and appears on Today when it comes round
- Decline — they are told, and nothing is left half-agreed
- Propose another time — it bounces back for them to confirm, and only then becomes a booking
- Requests waiting are visible on the Today screen, counted

A policy the software can actually enforce.
You set a notice period and a fee. Both default to something deliberately gentle — a day’s notice and no charge — so nobody is surprised by a fee you never set. When you do set one, it stops being words on a page.
- Cancel from either side, with the other side notified
- A cancellation inside your notice period records the fee on the booking
- The fee appears as billable work on the next invoice, alongside the walks
- No awkward conversation required, because it was agreed in advance and applied consistently
They request from CorePaw, free, with no second app.
The booking, messaging and walker sections only appear in an owner’s app once they actually have a walker. A pet owner with no walker never sees any of it.
- Requesting a booking is never behind an owner subscription
- Neither is messaging you, or reading your reports
- They see what you accepted, and when
- A client who will not install anything can still book the way they always did — nothing here is compulsory
Straight about what it does not do
There is no public booking page or client portal — requests come from clients you are already connected to, not from strangers on the internet, and there is no marketplace. Owners cannot see your availability calendar, because there is no availability calendar yet: they propose a time and you answer.
Questions walkers and sitters actually ask
Can clients request bookings?
Yes. An owner requests a job from CorePaw, you get a notification, and you can accept, decline, or propose a different time that bounces back for them to confirm. Either side can cancel.
Can I charge cancellation fees?
Yes. You set a notice period and a fee. A cancellation inside the notice period records the fee against the booking and it appears as billable work on the next invoice alongside the walks — otherwise a cancellation policy is just words on a page. Both defaults are deliberately gentle, so nobody is surprised by a charge you never set.
Do owners have to pay for CorePaw?
No. Reports, photos, route maps, pickup and drop-off notifications, messaging you and requesting a booking are free for owners, permanently. Nothing your business depends on ever sits behind the owner's paywall — if an owner could not book a walk because they would not pay a subscription, you would lose the booking, and you are the customer.
Does the owner need this app too?
No. Owners use CorePaw, the free owner-facing app, and everything about you appears there only once they have a walker. There is no second business app for them to install, and no download is needed for them to be your client.
Can bookings repeat?
Yes. Most of a round is "Bella, every Tuesday and Thursday", so recurring bookings are there from the start rather than bolted on. Day and week views show what is coming, and Today lists the round in the order you will do it.
Stop transcribing your own messages.
Connect one client and let them ask for a walk properly. It is a smaller change than it sounds and it removes a whole category of mistake.
